Kapitel 61

1, 3. Pas på ansigtsudtryk, ord och stemmens tonefald.--[Es. 61,1 citeret.] Herren är icke tilfreds med att Hans folk är et jamrekor. Honom önsker att de skal angre deres synder, så de kan nyde Guds sönners frihed. Så vilt de fyllas med Guds pris, och vilt vara en velsignelse for andre. Herren Jesus blev salvet också ” giva dem, som sörger i Zion, höjtidsprakt for sörgedrakt, for sörgeklädning glädens olie; lovsang for modlöst sinne. Man kalder dem retfärds ege, Herrens plantning till hans ära.”

1, 3. Guard Countenance, Words, Tone of Voice—[Isaiah 61:1 quoted.] The Lord is not pleased to have His people a band of mourners. He wants them to repent of their sins, that they may enjoy the liberty of the sons of God. Then they will be filled with the praises of God, and will be a blessing to others. The Lord Jesus was anointed also “to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garments of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.”{4BC 1153.6}

Så vilt vi vise hensyn når vi uttrykker våra ansigt, våra ord och endog var toneleje når vi taler. Alla våra forretningsanliggänder vilt utföres i tro och renhed. Så vilt välden bliva överbevist om att der är et folk som är loyale mot himlens Gud. . . . .

“That He,” Christ Jesus, “might be glorified”—O that this might be the purpose of our lives! Then we should have regard even to the expression of our countenance, to our words, and even to the tone of our voice when we speak. All our business transactions would be wrought in faith and integrity. Then would the world be convinced that there is a people that are loyal to the God of heaven....{4BC 1154.1}

(1154)  Gud uppfordrer alla till att komma i harmoni med Honom själva. Honom vilt tage emot dem i fall de vilt bortlägge alla deres onde handlinger. Med en samstemmighed med Kristi guddommelige natur, vilt de undgå denna väldens fordärvände inflydelser. Det är tid att enhver av osss måste beslutte i fall side vi är på Satans agenter vilt arbeta med ethvert människosssinne som tillader att bliva bearbetat av honom. Men der är också himmelske agenter der venter på att bibringe de klare stråler från Guds herlighed till alla som är villige till att tage emot Honom. Det är sanning som vi mangler, dyrebare sanning i al sin elskelighed. Sanning vilt bringe frihed och glädje (MS 43, 1908).

God calls for all to come into harmony with Himself. He will receive them if they will put away their evil actions. By a union with the divine nature of Christ, they may escape the corrupting influences of this world. It is time for every one of us to decide whose side we are on. The agencies of Satan will work with every mind that will allow itself to be worked by him. But there are also heavenly agencies waiting to communicate the bright rays of the glory of God to all that are willing to receive Him. It is truth that we want, precious truth in all its loveliness. Truth will bring liberty and gladness (Manuscript 43, 1908).{4BC 1154.2}

Kapitel 64

8. Låt Gud bearbeta leret.--Människot gör det mycket svärt for sig själva når det med sina spekulationer och planer vover sig in på områder som Gud har forbeholdt sig själva. Vanskelighederne voxer och voxer, och människot irriteres och beklager sig. Men når människot övergiver sig som leret i pottemagerens hånd, kan det bliva et kar till ära. Leret lader sig bearbeta. I fall det stod till Gud, ville hundreder av människor kunde formes och dannes efter hans vilje.

8. Let God Work the Clay—While the human agent is devising and planning for himself something that God has withheld him from doing, he has a hard time. He complains and frets, and has still increased difficulties. But when he submits to be as clay in the hands of the potter, then God works the man into a vessel of honor. The clay submits to be worked. If God had His way, hundreds would be worked and made into vessels as He sees best.{4BC 1154.3}

(1154)   Så låt da Guds hånd bearbeta leret, så det kan tjäna honom. Honom vid bedst, hvilken slags redskaper honom har brug for. Honom har givet hvert människo en gerning. Gud vid, var man passer bedst. Många arbetar emot Guds vilje, och derved ödelägger de deres livs mönster Herren önsker att alla skal underordne sig hans ledelse. Honom vilt stille människor der, var de dannes, så de lever i harmoni med Kristus och kommer till att ligne honom. I fall selvet lader sig bearbeta, i fall I vilt samarbeta med Gud och bede i gemenskap, arbeta i gemenskap, var på sin plads som tråde i livets väv så vilt I voxe sammen till en skön helhed till glädje i Guds univers. (brev 63, 1898).

Let the hand of God work the clay for His own service. He knows just what kind of vessel He wants. To every man He has given his work. God knows what place he is best fitted for. Many are working contrary to the will of God, and they spoil the web. The Lord wants every one to be submissive under His divine guidance. He will place men where they will submit to be worked into oneness with Christ, bearing His divine similitude. If self will submit to be worked, if you will cooperate with God, if you will pray in unity, work in unity, all taking your place as threads in the web of life, you will grow into a beautiful fabric that will rejoice the universe of God. (1154)  Pottemageren kan icke forme och danne något smukt av det, som aldrig är lakt i hans händer. Det kristne liv är en daglig övergivelse, underkastelse och stadig övervinelse. Var dag vilt der bliva vundet nye segra. Selvet tabes av syne och Guds kärlighet måste uppelskes till stadighed. Således voxer vi upp till Kristus. Således formes livet efter det guddommelige mönster. (MS 55, 1900).

The Potter cannot mold and fashion unto honor that which has never been placed in His hands. The Christian life is one of daily surrender, submission and continual overcoming. Every day fresh victories will be gained. Self must be lost sight of, and the love of God must be constantly cultivated. Thus we grow up into Christ. Thus the life is fashioned according to the divine model (Manuscript 55, 1900).{4BC 1154.5}

(1154)  Hvert Guds barn måste göre sitt bedste for att holde sanningens banner höjt. Honom eller hun skal virke inen for Guds orden. I fall selvet upphögons, gör man Kristus minre. I sitt ord sammenligner Gud sig med en pottemager och sitt folk med leret. Hans gerning består i att forme och danne dem efter sitt eget billede. De skal lära odmjukhedens och underkastelsens lektie. Selvet måste icke göres till det framherskände. I fall der blev givet tilsträkkelig akt på den guddommelige vägledning, i fall selvet blev övergivet till den guddommelige vilje, ville Pottemagerens händer kunde frambringe kar av stor skönhed. Every child of God is to do his very best to uplift the standard of truth. He is to work in God’s order. If self is exalted, Christ is not magnified. In His Word God compares Himself to a potter, and His people to the clay. His work is to mold and fashion them after His own similitude. The lesson they are to learn is the lesson of submission. Self is not to be made prominent. If due attention is given to the divine instruction, if self is surrendered to the divine will, the hand of the Potter will produce a shapely vessel (Letter 78, 1901).{4BC 1154.6}
