2-7. Lammet är Messiasses tegn. - Et syn blev givet till Daniel, om velde dyr der repräsenterede jordens makter. Men Messiasses kongerikes tegn är et lam. Imedens jordiske kongeriker regerer vid fysisk överlegen makt, forviser Kristus alla ködelige vöppen, alla tvangsinstrumenter. Hans kongerike blev grundlakt for att upplöfte och forädle faldne människor. (Brev 32, 1899).

2-7. Messiah’s Ensign, a Lamb—To Daniel was given a vision of fierce beasts, representing the powers of the earth. But the ensign of the Messiah’s kingdom is a lamb. While earthly kingdoms rule by the ascendancy of physical power, Christ is to banish every carnal weapon, every instrument of coercion. His kingdom was to be established to uplift and ennoble fallen humanity (Letter 32, 1899).{4BC 1171.5}

(1171)   10 (Åb. 20,12). Et ufelbarligt register. - Der är et ufelbarligt register med alla de synder der är gjort. Alla människors ugudelighed, alla dets ulydigheder till himmelens bud är skrevet i himmelens bok med ufelbarlig nöjaktighed. De skyldiges uppträden upphober sig hurtigt, alligevel är Guds kändelser meldnet med nåde, intil de har nået deres fastsatte gränse. Gud bärer länge över med de människolige överträdelser och fortsätter igennem Hans utnävnte organer att överbringe det evangeliske budskap, intil den fastsatte tid är kommet. Gud bärer med guddommelig långmodighed de ugudeliges trodsighed, men Honom erklärer att Honom vilt hjemsöge deres överträdelser med et ris (rod). Honom vilt till sidst tillade Satans destruktive organer att bäre makt till att ödelägge. (MS 17, 1906).

10 (Revelation 20:12). An Unerring Register—There is an unerring register kept of all sins committed. All man’s impiety, all his disobedience to Heaven’s commands, are written in the books of heaven with unerring accuracy. The figures of guilt rapidly accumulate, yet the judgments of God are tempered with mercy, until the figures have reached their appointed limit. God bears long with the transgression of human beings, and continues through His appointed agencies to present the gospel message, until the set time has come. God bears with divine patience with the perversity of the wicked; but He declares that He will visit their transgressions with a rod. He will at last permit the destructive agencies of Satan to bear sway to destroy (Manuscript 17, 1906).{4BC 1171.6}

Accurately recorded in the books of heaven are the sneers and trivial remarks made by sinners who pay no heed to the call of mercy when Christ is represented to them by a servant of God. As the artist takes on the polished glass a true picture of a human face, so God daily places upon the books of heaven an exact representation of the character of every individual (Manuscript 105, 1901).{4BC 1171.7}

Et vägskilt der är drejet rundt. - I dessa ord har Herren klart defineret vägen till Guds by, men den (1172) stora apossstat har forandret väg skiltet vid att uppsätte et falsk et en falsk sabbat. Den förste dag skal bliva upphögont och den protestantiske välden skal modtage denna falske sabbat som ägte. Igennem icke överholdelsen av den Sabbat Gud upprettede, vilt jag bringe Hans lov till forakt. Ordene, 'et tegn mellem mig och eder från slägt till slägt,(2.Mosss.31,13b) jag vilt sörge for att meddele om min sabbats side officielt. således vilt välden bliva min. Jag vilt bliva jordens regent, väldens fyrste. Jag vilt således kontrollere sinneene under min makt, således att Guds Sabbat skal bliva gjort till genstand for forakt. Et tegn? Jag vilt göre helligholdelsen av syvändedagen till et tegn på trolösned till jordens autoriteter. Människolige love skal bliva gjort så strenge, att mänd och kviner icke vilt vove att helligholde syvändedags sabbaten. Av frygt for att mangle mad och töj, vilt de fölge välden i överträdelse av Guds lov och jorden vilt bliva helt under mit herredömme."

25 (Exodus 31:13; Ezekiel 20:12). A Signpost Turned Around—The Lord has clearly defined the road to the city of God; but the great apostate has changed the signpost, setting up a false one—a spurious sabbath. He says: “I will work at cross-purposes with God. I will empower my delegate, the man of sin, to take down God’s memorial, the seventh-day Sabbath. Thus will I show the world that the day sanctified and blessed by God has been changed. That day shall not live in the minds of the people. I will obliterate the memory of it. I will place in its stead a day bearing not the credentials of heaven, a day that cannot be a sign between God and His people. I will lead the people who accept this day, to place upon it the sanctity that God placed upon the seventh day. Through my vicegerent I will exalt myself. The first day shall be extolled, and the Protestant world shall receive this spurious sabbath as genuine. Through the non-observance of the Sabbath God instituted, I will bring His law into contempt. The words, ‘A sign between me and you throughout your generations,’ I will make to serve on the side of my sabbath. Thus the world will become mine. I will be ruler of the earth, prince of the world. I will so control the minds under my power that God’s Sabbath shall be an object of contempt. A sign? I will make the observance of the seventh day a sign of disloyalty to the authorities of earth. Human laws shall be made so stringent that men and women will not dare to observe the seventh-day Sabbath. For fear of wanting food and clothing, they will join with the world in transgressing God’s law; and the earth will be wholly under my dominion.”{4BC 1172.8}

The man of sin has instituted a false sabbath, and the professed Christian world has adopted this child of the papacy, refusing to obey God. Thus Satan leads men and women in a direction opposite to the city of refuge; and by the multitudes who follow him, it is demonstrated that Adam and Eve are not the only ones who have accepted the words of the wily foe.{4BC 1172.1}

The enemy of all good has turned the signpost round, so that it points to the path of disobedience as the path of happiness. He has insulted Jehovah by refusing to obey a “Thus saith the Lord.” He has thought to change times and laws (The Review and Herald, April 17, 1900).{4BC 1172.2}
