New Trasconductance Structures and Filter Applications


All the phenomena in our world happens within time. Electronic systems take an important place in analogous circuits. This study focuses on “New Trasconductance Structures and Filter Applications”. Transconductance (Gm) has a wide area of use in that it is broadband, its dip could be controlled via polarization current, and its structures are basic and suitable for integration.

This thesis aims to form Gm structures for analogous mark processing implementations and new active filter structures. The function could be realized through minimum active and passive elements by employing CMOS technology.

This study employs transconductance (Gm) and capacitors (C) to realize monolithic active filters in Gm-C technique. Transconductor forms the basic structure block of Gm-C filters. Any filter and inductance circuit are realized only through Gm-C structures without employing resistance and inductor.

While a number of circuit techniques are available in the literature concerning transconductance, the main limitation posed by those techniques is limited entry signal swing and poor linearity. In addition, most of those techniques are not harmonious with studies based on extremely low power supply operation.

This thesis is based on filter implementations at transconductor block circuit level planned to be used in open circuit configuration for the design of Gm-C filters in CMOS technology. Transconductor block and implementation circuits have been tested with LTSPICE programme through 0.18µm TSMC CMOS technology.
