The Effect Of Nanotechnologıcal Medıcıne Sutent On Prolıferatıon Of Cancer Cells
Chemotheraphy is one of the most important methods after surgery in cancer treatment. But this method could not be effective every time. Because chemotherapy drugs are exposed to some biological and chemical changes while they are moving to target tissue or region these changes cause harmful impacts in organism and treatment mires down. In this point nanotechnology science succor. Big steps have been taken for targeted treatment by producing nano scaled molecules. With special receptors nanotechnologic drugs are binded to the tumor and prevent vascularization so oxygenation. These big steps that prohibits tumor metastases are achieved by nanodrugs named as smart drugs. The effects of Sutent on kinetics of cancer as one of these drugs has been examined.

In HeLa cell cultures exposed to Sutent, increase in apoptosis index of cells, decrease in mitotic index and slow down in proliferation has been determined at the optimum dose level of 10 µM concentration especially at 72nd hour. Also all these findings were statistically reasonable (p<0.001).

Besides anaphase bridges and existence of tripolar metaphase cells which are observed at 72nd hour give rise to think of a chromosomal instability arise from shortening of telomere. So this situation entails new researches about Sutent during its usage for treatments aiming at telomerase in cancer.
