Background
The Arab Taskforce (ATF) on Food Safety is a high level steering group composed primarily of senior officials of the League of Arab States (LAS), of the Arab Industrial Development Mining Organization (AIDMO) and the Arab Organization of Agricultural Development (AOAD) and of senior representatives of organizations and agencies responsible for Food Safety and Food safety standards in countries of the LAS signatories of the agreement of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA).
