2nd Meeting 05-07 September 2016 Fairmont Hotel, Nile Towers, Egypt Background The Arab Taskforce (atf) on Food Safety

The second ATF meeting will take place from 05-07 September 2016 in Egypt. This meeting has the following objectives:

• 
  Approve the ATF ToRs and 1^st meeting report ;
  
• 
  Increase ATF membership ;
  
• 
  Discuss and launch priority areas initiatives identified at the 1^st ATF meeting ;
  
• 
  Discuss and approve the working groups formation and leadership for areas of priority;
  
• 
  Discuss and approve ATF 2016 action plan ;
  
• 
  Introduce regional and international and regional partners (FAO and STDF / ARAC) ;
  
• 
  Inform ATF about the supporting initiatives including IAC, regional networks, country support programme, ArabStarpack ;
  
• 
  Discuss and agree on date and objective of the 3^rd ATF ;
  
• 
  Discuss Food safety and regional trade facilitation.
