US air raid by an AC-130 gunship
At 4 AM, 11 civilians killed (incl. 4 children, 3 women) in another US bombing attack on this tiny village perched on a small hill. Col. Hilferty at Bagram propaganda center admitted five dead militants. The 11 victims were buried on Sunday and residents were very angry and scared. About 100 Afghan and 30-40 US troops had been in area in past 2 days, arresting 10 suspects. EVEN KARZAI admitted on the 31st that 10 civilians had been killed in the raid. 250 people from Char Chino district went to protest to the governor.
Bold daylight raid by 15 Taliban with RPGs and assault rifles upon the US base, injures 3 US Special Forces soldiers. One attacker killed.

Pre-dawn bombing of mud brick village near Asadabad. Allegedly dropped on area from which rockets were fired on a US-led military base near a river bed. No injuries.
Troops at checkpoint ordered car to stop but it did not. Soldiers opened fire. 4 persons killed and 3 soldiers at checkpoint injured in exchange of gunfire.
At 8:25 AM, Canadian troops on vehicle patrol attacked, one killed, 10 persons injured (incl. 3 more Canadians), an Afghan civilian killed too. Bomber attacked 3rd vehicle. Taliban takes responsibility.
