Fri night 16 people in a bus held up, abducted to Day Chopan and executed. The 16 admitted to having voter registration cards. Taliban’s Latif admits killing people but says they were election workers and gov’t soldiers. Most of the 16 were actually returned Afghan displaced persons.
US Special Forces attack compounds, arrest 2 Taliban whom Bagram propaganda center claims with much media fanfare are Taliban leaders. 5 Talibs killed. Later, turns out the 2 arrested are bodyguards of the governor of Helmand!
