F-16s drop 500 lb bombs and Apache helicopters

A US patrol is attacked and calls-in air support. An intense firefight lasting an hour ensues. F-16s and Apache attack helicopters are used, killing 2 and capturing 3 of the attackers.

Car bombed

At 5:30 PM, a suicide bomber exploded a bomb strapped to his body after he was arrested and in the police SUV. Dead were Afghan intelligence personnel. Taliban claimed responsibility.

US announces end of the huge military operation involving over 2,000 troops, the largest postwar military operation in Afghanistan. 10 enemy personnel were killed and 4 wounded according to Bagram propaganda center, 2 Afghan soldiers died, and 2 US soldiers and 2 Afghan ones were injured.
