Sant Josep

Gastao Heberle (Berus branch) is a writer and a language and literature professor from Brazil who visited Eivissa in the early 1970s and in 1976 established house in Sant Josep, where he lives and works most of the year, with wife Jussara, whenever they are not away on one of their frequent trips. In 1979 he published his first book of tales and short histories about Eivissa, its people, culture and traditions. “Los trabajos y los dias”. Wife Jussara did illustrations. In 1983 another book “Boira” (Fog) was published. Gastão is also well known as an Art-gallery manager. His gallery “Sargantana” (“Lizard”), was opened in 1978 in the village of Sant Josép. In the beginning, the gallery was exclusively dedicated to Jussara’s paintings: oil-paintings, water-colours, drawings and postcards. Later, Gastão opened “Gallery Can Berri” in the little village of Sant Agustí.

Jussara de Oliveira was b Porto Alegre, Brazil. She studied for about 2 years at Art School in Brazil and later lived in Moscow, France, Sweden, Germany, Portugal and Madrid, before Eivissa. Jussara and Gastão m 1968.

About 10 Heberles from the Clausthal-Zellerfeld branch lived in Sweden in the 1880s-90s, including Ernst August Heberle and brother Josef. Josef d Sala 1912.

Ernest Wilhelm Heberle from the Clausthal-Zellerfeld branch migrated to Sweden in c1867, with wife Maria Brummer and 5 children: Marie E b 1853, Ernst August b 1854, Josef Wilhelm b 1857, Karl b 1859, Marie A b 1862. Ernst Wilhelm published a book 1872-73.

Ernst August Heberle was a mining engineer in Sala, the Director of a silver mine and business man, b 1854 CZ. He d 1907 Luttrighausen, Rhineland-Palatinate. Ernst m Sigrid Moberg 1884 in Sala. Children: Margareta W b 1885, Ernst W b 1886, Astri S b 1888, Gertrud S b 1890, Agnes D b 1893, all b Sala. Ernst worked in Sweden in 1880s-90s (Djursholm). Sigrid d 1946 in Djursholm.


Josef Wilhelm Heberle was a civil engineer (mining engineer), b 1857 Rheinbreitbach, d 1912 Sala. He was in Sweden 1860s-90s.
Margareta W Heberle, daughter of Ernst August, b 1885 in Sala, d 1978. She m Nils Grotenfelt 1908 Djursholm.
Ernst Wilhelm Heberle (hotel landlord, b 1886 Sala, m Gunhild Dahl 1913 Djursholm.

SWITZERLAND

In 2004 there were c37 Heberles in Switzerland. Much more common are the Haeberli and Haeberlin families which can be traced back to at least 1341. Heberle have lived in Switzerland since c1536. Heberle have frequently moved to and from Switzerland. Jean Heberle migrated to St Croix en Plaine France c1620. Hans Jacob Heberle migrated to Bischwiller France c1676. Hans Heberle migrated to Nunschweiler Germany c1708. Wolfram Heberle of Regensburg Germany in 2004, was in Bern 1991-95. Erwin Heberle of Vienna was in Basel 1985.

Siegrun Heberle worked for the Swiss Federal Institute for Environmental Science and Technology (EAWAG), in Dubendorf. She has worked in the national research centre for water pollution control. She did some work on interactions of pollutants in 1998. She was a member of a team researching pesticides in Lake Greifensee in 1998. She studied information sciences at University of Konstanz in Germany in c1999.



Wolhusen

Konrad Heberle and family migrated from Altusried Germany to Wolhusen c1992.



UKRAINE


3 Heberle 2005. 130 Heberle 1840-2005.

Heberle families lived in the Odessa region of Ukraine from c1840, having emigrated from Germany. Andreas Heberle b c1830, from Alpirsbach, Wurttemburg, migrated with his parents and lived in the town of Munchen, near Odessa. His descendants lived near Odessa until after World War II. At that time they moved further east. A few families moved to Siberia in 1945-46. Some moved to Kasakhstan c1948 and Tadgikistan c1951. One or two Heberles remain in Siberia in 1998, including Mathias Heberle, b 1917 in Ukraine. Johannes Heberle was b Ukraine 1892. He d Siberia in 1969. In 1926 a new town, Neu-Munchen was founded (about 15 km from Munchen) and Jakob Heberle moved there. From about 1985 some of the Heberles were able to move back to Germany. Friedrich Heberle (b 1864), wife Barbara Bath (b 1866) and children, migrated to Campbell County, South Dakota USA in 1898.

Members of this branch lived in Grossliebental, Munchen, Neu Munchen, Sclangendorf, Germany (Friesenstadt, Marburg, Nurnberg, Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Watekau), Kasachstan (Tschu), Poland, Siberia (Irkutsk, Tomsk, Tschcerepanowo), Tadgikistan.
