2nd son, Walter Heberle, b 1904, d 1969, m Olivia Nagel. Walter worked in a hardware store. Their children are Mary (bank teller, m Lester Hackmann), Catherine (school teacher, m Larry Voss), Robert (accountant, m Roberta, 2 daughters, Jessica and Stacey).
3rd son, John was a factory worker. He was b 1907, d 1960, m Hyacinth Wilding. Children: James (TV technician, married Esther Spencer, 2 children, Roger, who died at birth and Roger John who was killed on the road in 1973 aged 13), Ann (secretary), Peggy (operated day care centre) and Vivian (secretary).
4th son, Erwin P Heberle, b 1910 in Hermann, d 1997. He grew up with his 7 brothers on the farm on Frene Creek near Hermann. As a young man he left home and moved to Chicago to live with an aunt, where he tended bar in their family tavern. After he returned from Chicago, he m Verna Kattlemann, in 1945. She preceded him in death in 1997 at age 80. During his life he had many jobs. He was a truck driver, bar-tender, night watchman, carpenter and sausage and wine-maker. He also managed a bowling alley. Erwin had 2 daughters (Margaret, a legal secretary and Joyce, a cosmotologist and hair stylist) and a son Ronald, a truck driver. Ronald m Kathy Stiers and had 2 boys, Matthew and Wyatt.
5th son, Clarence Heberle, b 1912, d 1996, m Marie Meyer. They had 2 daughters, Judy (a secretary) and Janice (secretary). Clarence was a farmer.
6th son, Orville Henry Heberle, b 1914, d 1993, m Zita Warner. They had 2 foster children, Annette (school bus driver) and Tony (carpet layer). Orville started Heberle Meat Packing Company on the farm settled by Mathias Heberle in 1959 and sold it in 1975. He was cellar master in the Hermannhof Winery in Hermann when it opened in 1976. In its first year of operation, the winery produced 4000 gallons of wine. During his 10 years with Hermannhof, Orville oversaw the sausage-making operation at the winery.
7th son, Harry J Heberle, b 1917, was sheriff of Gasconade county, based in Hermann 1957-72, before he bought and operated the Concert Hall Bar & Barrell Tavern from 1973-89. It is the oldest tavern in continuous use west of the Mississippi River, with its 100th anniversary in 1978. Harry m Leora Beul in 1946 in Morrison MO. He purchased a 16ha farm on Frene Creek in 1963 and later sold half for construction of a new Hermann high school. He operated the MFA bulk plant in Hermann, serving the needs of farmers, for 8 years. Harry served 4 years in the US Army in World War II, attaining the rank of staff sergeant and later worked for 12 years as a shoe cutter for International Shoe in Hermann. Their children are Sharon L, Marcia L, David C, Bruce H and Julie N.
Sharon L Heberle is a registered nurse. Sharon graduated in 1990 from Lake Michigan College in Michigan. In 1991 she worked at Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital in St Louis MO.
Marcia L Heberle works in human resources. In 1991 she was human resources manager for First Bank Inc in St Louis MO. Marcia joined Mid Atlantic Health Care as corporate human reources director in St Louis in 1997. She was Vice president human resources for South Side National Bank in St Louis in 1993. Previously, Dave had been driving a US mail truck for Kallmeyer Brothers for 15 years, 1975-90. He sold the restaurant in c1997 and now works as maintenance person at Hermann High School.
Bruce H Heberle graduated from Hermann High School in 1970 and from Linn Technical College in 1974. In 1977 he was a structural engineer with Butler Building Manufacturing Company in Kansas City. In 1991 he was regional sales manager for Coleman/Evcon in Elkhardt IN. In 1992-99 Bruce lived in Granger IN. Has also lived in Prairie Village and Wichita, Kansas. He m Ruth Baird and has 3 children, Justin C, Ashley E (lived only 12 hours) and Blake T. In 1991, Ruth was owner of a day care centre. In 1998 she worked in Notre Dame University in Indiana. William (Bill) Heberle, son of Raymond, m Marcia Lansford. Marcia was principal of West Elementary School in Jefferson City in 1997. They had twins, Anna and Nicholas. Bill Heberle's career of service to children began in 1980 when he joined the Judicial Circuit of Missouri as a Deputy Juvenile Officer responsible for children who were abused and neglected and juvenile offenders. He introduced a child safety and vandalism prevention program for elementary school children. He also served as the Division's legislative liaison during the passage of the 1995 Juvenile Crime Bill and Safe Schools Act. In 1997, he was Assistant Deputy Director in the Division of Youth Services in the Missouri Department of Social Services. In 1998, he joined the Children's Trust Fund, a state and non-profit agency whose purpose is to prevent child abuse and neglect through public education campaigns and the funding of grants to local communities. In 2004 he was Executive Director. He has directed numerous public education campaigns.

Survived by one daughter, Janet E Trash of New Bloomfield.

Geoff Heberle (Hoerdt branch) joined Cutting Edge Optronics in 1995 as lead mechanical engineer in charge of all mechanical design and analysis duties. He was based in St Louis MO in 1996. Geoff began his career as a physical design engineer for AT&T Bell Laboratories in Middletown NJ, working on data communications equipment. In 1989 he took a position as lead engineer for the laser systems business unit of McDonnell Douglas Aerospace in St Louis MO. While there he performed modelling and a variety of other structural analysis tasks on tactical and space based laser systems. Geoff earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri in Rolla and his Master of Science in mechanical engineering from Rutgers University.
