Red Cross nurse volunteer Kathleen Eid-Heberle (Altusried branch) met and was photographed with President George Bush, in Charlotte NC. She is an 18+ year veteran of the American Red Cross. She has responded to local and national disasters, been a disaster instructor, served as co-chair of the Disaster Health Services Committee and as its health services representative. In 2002, she won the "Caring for the Carolinas" award, a monthly volunteer award.

James Paul Heberle (Ettenheim branch), MD, 82, a retired physician, d 2003. He was b 1921, in Joshua TX, where his father was a dentist. After graduating from high school, he attended Texas Wesleyan College as a pre-medical student, where he met his wife, Analois Beauchamp (Ann). In 1941 he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and completed meteorology cadet training at the University of Chicago. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant and spent 2 years of active duty in the Alaska-Aleutians area as a weather officer. After completing military service in 1946, he resumed medicine training and graduated from the University of Texas Medical School in 1950. He practiced in Burleson from 1956 until retirement in 1990. He was a Master Mason in Burleson Lodge, and a member of the Burleson Lions and Burleson Beautification Council. Survived by his wife Ann of 60 years; son, Paul; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Michael Brian; daughter, Linda Kay; grandchildren, Robert and Rachel Heberle, Amber, Aaron, Laura and Steve Brian, and Annalisa Jamalainen.

Ann Heberle, wife of Dr James Paul Heberle is known in Texas for her beautification efforts. She jointly won first place in the female volunteer category in the O.P. Schnabel Senior Citizen Awards for 1999 from Keep Texas Beautiful. She has supported the Burleson recycling program; volunteered with the American Heart Association; teaching in public schools for 31 years; volunteered with the medical auxiliary; She moved to Burleson in 1956, with her husband and their 3 children (Suzanne, Linda Kay, James Paul). Other honors achieved by Ann include Volunteer of the Year; the Ann Heberle Humanitarian Award; Volunteer in Texas by the Forestry Council and Texas Forest Services; Citizen of the Year (1989); life membership in the Texas Garden Club Inc.; life membership in the Newcomers Club; and the Outstanding Spouse Award from the medical auxiliary of Burleson.
Linda Kay Heberle (Ettenheim branch, daughter of Dr James Paul Heberle) had an acting and comedy career in Los Angeles CA, before moving back to Keller TX in April 1997. Received MFA in Acting from UCLA. She studied Shakespeare and Chekhov at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Over 20 years professional acting experience. She played Joann Curtis (Curtznski) co-star in "Young and Restless" TV series in 1975-78. Was in film "Psycho III in 1986, played Ruthie. In TV series "With this ring" in 1978. She taught theatre appreciation at Tarrant County Junior College in 1997. Received secondary teaching certification c1998. In 1999 instructed and directed a local comedy instruction group.

John Harold Heberle (Ettenheim branch, son of Dr John Daniel and Ethel Diserens Heberle) went to school in Gonzales TX.  Attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas TX 1963-67. Graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in accounting and a minor in economics. Passed the Certified Public Accountant examination in 1968. Lived and worked in the Dallas area for 17 years.  Six years in public accounting and 11 years with InterFirst Bank-Dallas.  Joined a savings and loan association in Lubbock TX and moved to Austin TX a year later.  In 1988, moved to Boston MA with a large real estate investment firm. Returned to TX in 1989.  In late 1989, moved to Stockton CA and joined a large savings association.  In 1991, moved to Pleasant Hill CA. In 1995, moved to Irvine CA and joined a large mortgage services company.  In 1996 moved to Laguna Niguel CA and in 2000 to Aliso Viejo CA. Active in Honda Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Son JR (John Russell) b Dallas TX and moved with father and mother to Lubbock and Austin TX.  After their divorce, his mother and JR returned to Dallas. He attended St. Mark's School of Texas and graduated in 1999. Attended the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA. He runs cross-country.

Steven Francis Heberle (Altusried branch) 41, of Cross Junction, d 2004, in an aeroplane crash in Panama. He was b 1963, in Washington DC, the son of John Joseph and Winifred Reumont Heberle. He was president of 24/7 Staffing Inc. in Cross Junction and a respiratory therapist at Winchester Medical Center. He had worked at the VA Hospital in Martinsburg, WV, and the Loudoun County Hospital Center. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Shenandoah University in 1997 and was a veteran of the Marine Corps. He was a former member of Middletown Volunteer Fire Department and a volunteer for Camp Super Kids. He m Rachel Pfaender in 1988. Surviving with his wife, are his parents of Port Republic MD; a son, Alex Heberle; 3 brothers, John Joseph (Jay) Heberle of Port Republic, Mark Alexander Heberle of Charlotte NC, and Michael J Heberle of Reliance VA; and a sister, Kathryn Heberle of Port Republic.

Fairfax VA

Greg Heberle (son of Charles Joseph and Kathryn Cameron) worked for Pacific Sierra Research Corporation in Arlington VA. He was involved in mapping by remote sensing imagery. Greg (m Cristie) lived in Fairfax 1995, was a member of the Mazda Sports club in Washington DC in 1998. Raced a 1994 blue Mazda in Camden Speedway. Played competition 10 pin bowling in Washington DC.

Andrew Heberle (Liebling branch) was b Harrisburg PA. He lived in Powhatan in 2004. Wife Jackie has spent 19 years in the radiology field. In 2004 she was assistant director of radiology in a medical centre.

Richmond VA

Mark Alexander Heberle (Altusried branch) was appointed assistant vice president at Signet Banking Corp Feb 1996 in Richmond VA. Married to Kathleen Eid, children: Colleen, John. He joined the bank in 1993 as information analyst. Lived in Richmond 1992-97, Charlotte NC 1997-.

Winchester VA

Rachel Marie Heberle practiced counselling in Winchester VA in 2004. Rachel is a National Certified Counselor and a member of the American Counseling Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, WV in 1999 ? and her Master’s and Education Specialist degrees from James Madison University in Harrisonburg VA in 2002. She has extensive training in dealing with issues stemming from sexual and physical abuse. She currently works as a resident in counseling in private practice and as an in-home therapist.

Charles Heberle from Clausthal-Zellerfeld, migrated to USA c1847. During passage, cholera broke out on the ship and many died including parents. Fought in American Civil War, with the Illinois 1^st Infantry. He was severely wounded in the battle of Shiloh but recovered and m Margaret Kruppinger. Lived in the Maysville/Keyser area of WV. Captured by his brother William Heberle/Hepley (see Indiana) and turned in for a bounty. Died 1870 in Virginia.
