943 Extensive collection of postcards mostly 1960s & 70s period largely with Architecture or Art theme. Many European, USA origin although there are some scenic, humourous etc. Of the approx 1400 cards about 60 are Postally Used. Of interest is the recipient of the cards, a Rodney Connors (1937-76) who was an architect with the NSW Department of Public Works & now has a Memorial Prize for Conservation Studies named in his honour at the University of Sydney. In the snippits of information on the postcards there is reference to the construction of the Sydney Opera House. The cards themselves cover a range of architectural styles from Gothic to Modern styles. The art from Picasso, Gaugin, to Michelangelo works of art & sculpture. An interesting collection mostly VF.
