Applications on a plain paper with all supporting documents are invited from eligible candidates for a Project Assistant vacancy to be filled in the DST-SERB Project, “ Characterization of gonadotropin-releasing hormone and kisspeptin systems in the catfish Heteropneustes fossilis: crosstalks and interactions in the control of gonadotropin secretion (sanction No. EMR/2016/002751 dated 27-3-2017) awarded to Dr. K. P. Joy, Principal Investigator, INSA Senior Scientist, Department of Biotechnology, CUSAT, Kochi- 682022.

The selected candidate may have the opportunity to register for Ph. D. in course of time, as per the eligibility criteria of CUSAT.

Qualifications: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Zoology/Aquaculture or M. F.Sc. of a recognized University. Desirable: Research experience in Molecular Biology and analytical techniques (gene cloning, annotation, gene expression, electrophoresis, HPLC, etc.)

Total emoluments: Rs. 12,000.00 per month

Duration : About 22 months or for the duration of the project , whichever is early.
