(summary) This article analyses the interpretation of the Qur`an of Seyid Ahmed Han, the Indian-Muslim philosopher. According to author, generally the interpretations of Qur’an do not examine verses about social and family realtions and exalted ethical values. He concludes that the ideas of interpreters like Seyid Ahmed Han can illuminate the heart of Muslims and direct them to the true path. In this context the author tries to bring out the true intentions of Seyid Ahmed Han.
