MBA

Queries whose name begins with jmba. Primary contact is Tisha McCoy mccoynta@jmu.edu and Tracie Esmaili esmailtb@jmu.edu section last updated 2/19/2018. On 2/19/2018 the logic used in several of the jmba queries which HAD contained a list of hard coded student group codes to indicate specific graduate program cohorts was replaced with new logic. The new logic uses the first three characters of the student group 30 characters description field and requires that it begin with MBA.

  1. jmba01 (NTS): MBA students. Contains prompts for a range of admit terms for the three academic programs: GR120, GR125 and GR130 and the most current effective dated row for the given academic program. Person running this query is reminded to pay particular attention to the “CURRENT Status” and “Last term attended” fields.

  2. jmba02 (NTS): COB MBA program analysis. Contains no prompts because the query is designed to return a distinct populations from “forever”. The population is defined as students in the three programs GR120, GR125 and GR130. The original course list was provided and hard coded. On 2/19/2018, the hard coded list was replaced to allow ALL GR career courses to be returned.

  3. jmba03 (NTS): Basic student group data. Returns a list of students (NON UG careers) who have been assigned to any student group whose first three characters=MBA. User running this query should pay particular attention to the values returned in the fields Group Status and Program Status.

  4. jmba04 (TS) Active MBA NOT in cohort. Returns a list of students currently active in one of the three programs: GR120, GR125 or GR130 who are NOT in an active student group whose first three characters begin with MBA.

  5. jmba05 (NTS) Aggregate MBA stats. Users listed above do NOT have access to all records present, so they will not be able to see/run this query. Contains prompts for an admit term range for the three academic programs: GR120, GR125 and GR130. Returns aggregate counts for the following populations: Applied, Accepted, Enrolled and Graduated.

  6. jmba06 (NTS): Individual Program application. Users listed above do NOT have access to all records present, so they will not be able to see/run this query. Permission was given for desmitpa to schedule this query and have the results sent to Tracie Esmaili. Uses a run control by the same name and a recurrence definition named MBA which is configured to run weekly on Monday’s at 10:30 AM. Results are currently being emailed to Tracie Esmaili. The query contains a prompt representing the admit term >= the value provided.
