Aborigines Protection Board replaced by Aboriginal Affairs Board. The new Board ceased to be the legal guardian of Aboriginal children.
Definitions
Aboriginal – ‘every person who is of the full blood descended from the original inhabitants of Australia, other than a person whose name is removed from the Register of Aborigines’
person of Aboriginal Blood – every person of ‘less than full blood, ... descended from the original inhabitants of Australia, and every person whose name is removed from the Register of Aborigines and his direct descendants’
