ABSTRACT
This study examines the usability of educational social softwares in Azerbaijan, and Turkey, through internet and social media usage statistics of the countries. Within the scope of the study; educational social software and related concepts are discussed, potential advantages and problems that may arise in the use of educational purposes are evaluated. In conclusion, it is seen that both countries have young and dynamic populations, the developments in internet infrastructures and social media usage rates of the countries have great potential for educational social software usage. The results of the research are expected to have a directive effect for the students, teachers and institutions, which are the main actors of education, especially for policy makers in the field of education.
