RELATIONS IN "THE BOOK OF DEDE KORKUT"
Summary
The whole poetic value of an epos is on the shoulders of the main character. He stands in the center of events. All the characters and events are connected with him. However, the role of a protagonist is not just to be the main character of the epos. The ideas settled in epos, national value, as well as all the poetic value is connected with the main character. Therefore, the main character of an epos is its central point. If we consider "The Book of Dede Korkut" in this direction we can see that the following lines mainly cover the main character and public relations: Hero as a head of a state; Hero as a commander; Hero as father; Hero as a son; Hero as a husband; Hero as a brother; hero as a friend; Hero a son of a nation.
