The national memory in the work “The sword cutting us”

Folklore and literature is the advanced and the actual direction of the modern philological thought. In the article the author tries to investigate this problem on the basis of the works by Bakhtiyar Vahabzade, the activity which is a practical laboratory for the investigation of all matters of folklorism in the written literature. The work “The sword cutting us” has been chosen as the object of the investigation. In this play the poet tries to wake up the story hidden in the folklore, and he achieves it. Because Bakhtiyar Vahabzade’s poetic power of the creativity is directly related to the national memory of energy.
