TRANSFORMATION IN MYTHS AS EPİC FORMULA
RESUME
Transformation is one of the characteristic motives for epic folklore texts. The form of transformation which appears as temporary conversion followed by a return to the original form is called returning. At the same time, transformation is a cosmogonical creation act. Conversions of definite creatures and things to others are the forms of metamorphose. During the restoration of Azerbaijan mythology in the work the texts carrying the mythological information are given superiority.
