SUFISM ELEMENTS IN THE EPOS “ASLI AND KARAM”
Summary
Love eposes of Azerbaijan are rich with elements sufism. I would like to mention the epos “Asli and Karam” which widespread in the Turkish world. There are many elements that come from sufism in the plot of epos and in epos creative, too. These motifs and images of epos are coming from sufism: love motif, a lover of truth, being a stranger, motive temporary world, bravery and other poetic images. All these changelles are analyzed in detail on examples given from epos.
