Department has infrastructure in terms of lab and research farm facilities
-
Faculty members of the Department have diverse areas of specialization (Pomology, Olericulture and Floriculture)
-
Majority of the students of M.Sc. and Ph. D. are quite competent/ capable and have qualified the National Test like NET, ARS etc. Hence, it is one of the strongest points of the department.
-

-
Lack of fruit germplasm block, Herb gardens and Aquatic gardens etc.
-
Lack of the School for Agricultural Sciences.
Opportunities and Challenges
-
Horticulture is the means for converting our weaknesses into opportunities.
-
The basic objectives of the horticulture development is to provide the protective food for all and creating employment opportunity for proper segment of society.
-
To promote the sciences and practices of horticulture in human life.
