Operated by Atlantic Tours Boston Tree Lighting November 28th – Dec 2nd, 2017 5 Days and 4 Nights Join us as we celebrate our cross-border friendship with Boston during the year's tree lighting ceremony. For 40 years, Nova Scotia has sent the gift of a Christmas tree as thanks for Boston's quick response and generosity during the 1917 explosion. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the explosion, and is sure to be a spectacular tree lighting event. Tuesday, November 28 Halifax, NS to Bangor, ME Depart Halifax for Bangor, ME with pickups en route. Wednesday, November 29 Bangor to Boston, MA Travel from Bangor to Boston for your two night stay. Your hotel is only a five minute walk to historic Faneuil Hall. Today there is time for shopping and that evening we will take in the Blink! Light & Sound Show featuring music of the Holiday POPS at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. (Continental breakfast) Thursday, November 30 Boston Sightseeing and Tree Lighting This day is a free day to shop, visit museums, New England Aquarium or even visit Harvard University. This evening we will regroup to watch the Boston Tree Lighting featuring the tree donated by Nova Scotia. (Breakfast) Friday, December 1 Boston to Bangor, ME Start the trip home with stops for lunch and rest breaks along the way. (Breakfast) Saturday, December 2 Homeward Bound You are homeward bound today as you make your way back to the Maritimes with fond memories of Boston. (Continental breakfast) Highlights:

Your Tour Director and Driver play an important role in making your vacation as memorable and hassle-free as possible. While optional, gratuities are a great way to show your appreciation. The suggested industry guideline is $3.00 to $6.00 per person, per day for your Tour Director and also your Driver. This should be extended on a voluntary and individual basis at the completion of the tour. Travel Insurance Your tour price does not include travel insurance. If you are covered, we advise you to look into coverage details, if there is a deductible, if you need to pay up front, and where to call in case of emergency.
