INSELTOWN TATTLER…
The TAYLOR SWIFT and CALVIN HARRIS breakup is back! Taylor revealed that she wrote the lyrics for Harris’ song ‘This is What You Came For’ using a pseudonym because they felt their relationship would overshadow the song. Harris responded with a series of tweets saying it was "hurtful" the way the news was leaked adding, “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.” Katy, of course, referred to Taylor’s feud with Katy Perry, who weighed in by tweeting a Hillary Clinton gif (See here) and later the message “Time, the ultimate truth teller.” Getting back to the song, it was released with Rihanna on April 29th and that’s when Taylor knew Calvin was trouble! He did an interview that day in which he was asked if he’d ever collaborate with his then-girlfriend and he replied, "You know we haven't even spoken about it. I can't see it happening though." Word is that Taylor was hurt by that and felt Calvin went too far to conceal their partnership. That turned out to be the end of the line for them as several days later Taylor was at the Met Gala dancing with Tom Hiddleston. This may have caused some backlash for Taylor as the hashtag #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty is trending. It’s made out to be a fictional party attended by all of Taylor's rivals. (See here)

DR. PHIL MCGRAW and his wife have filed a $250 million libel suit against The National Enquirer and its sister publications, saying they falsely accused him of being an abusive husband and a hypocrite who doesn't practice what he preaches. Numerous articles said that he physically and verbally abused wife Robin McGraw and that they’re getting divorced. The suit also says the Enquirer threatened to run a false story accusing McGraw of busting a man's head with a beer mug during a drunken melee while in college in the early 1970s. Their lawyer says the McGraws have endured years of outrageous lies published about them and have finally had enough. Reps for the tabloids fired back by saying it’s ironic that Dr. Phil is accusing them of being a 'trashy tabloid' when his own TV show is known to get trashy at times

A group of Pokémon Go players in Fullerton, California, helped police capture a wanted fugitive this week. The players saw a man that looked suspicious and called police and held the man until they arrived. It turned out that he was wanted on an attempted murder charge. Meanwhile, when not finding criminals or animated characters, some Pokemon Go players are apparently trying to find love. However, with one’s eyes focused on the phone, people are apparently missing out on what could be their next great romance. It’s reported that Pokemon Go players across the country have begun filling up the ‘Missed Connections’ section of Craigslist looking for that person they failed to connect with while playing.
There are more warnings for Pokemon Go players. The game has seen people wandering into yards, driveways, cemeteries and even an off-limits police parking lot in search of the animated characters. That’s prompted warnings that trespassers could get arrested or even killed if they cross paths with an armed property owner. Since the game came out last week, police have gotten tons of calls about possible burglars or other strangers prowling neighborhoods. So far, there have been no reports of arrests or assaults on players.

If you want to win big at Pokemon Go and have no scruples, there’s a way to do it! Radley Angelo said they wanted to come up with a less physically demanding way to play the game. (See here)

Today’s weather forecast calls for possible scattered space stations! China's first ever space station, which was launched in 2011 and was due to be brought down into the ocean in a controlled crash, is reportedly plunging back to Earth out of control. As per usual, China isn’t saying anything about it, but one amateur astronomer believes it could come down at any time. Presuming it is out of control and crashing to Earth, the odds are that it’ll land in the ocean or in an unpopulated area. Incidentally, the space station is called Taingong-1, which translates to Heavenly Palace in English.

A Georgia helicopter crew with the Governor's Task Force for Drug Suppression recently spotted suspicious-looking plants on a man's property. Police, along with a heavily-armed K9 unit, were then sent in to raid the retired Atlanta man's garden last Wednesday. What would Jesus do? Apparently he told televangelist David Turner to pay $17.5million for Tyler Perry's Atlanta mansion. The 34,668-square-foot estate was inspired by Versailles and has an infinity swimming pool, a lighted tennis court, a fully equipped gym, a spa, a theater and much more and was the most expensive home to ever go on the market in Atlanta. Turner later told the media, “I went online and I saw this house, and that’s when I felt like God told me, "This is your house."'
Police in Doraville, Georgia, saw Alejandro Perez driving a GMC box truck on the wrong side of the road this week. Police say Perez also failed to stop at a stop sign and didn’t have a driver’s license. However, these traffic violations are the least of Perez’s worries. That’s because Perez broke the rule about obeying all traffic laws while transporting drugs. Before they towed the truck away, officers asked Perez if there was anything valuable inside the truck and he said he didn’t know what was in it. Everyone soon found out as officers discovered 169 bundles of marijuana weighing nearly two tons and valued at between $1.6 and $1.9 million. Perez was arrested and police say they’re “pretty confident this would exceed personal use.”

Sometimes it can be hard to live up to your name. Then again, living up to your name isn’t too difficult when you’re Christopher R. Schmuck. Schmuck was arrested for weapons violations, reckless endangerment and, yes, public drunkenness.
A police officer in Guelph, Ontario, noticed what appeared to be a bicycle light approaching him. As the light got closer, the officer noticed it wasn’t a bicycle or even a motorcycle, but a car with no working exterior lights. The officer clocked the man doing 67 mph in a 43 mph zone despite only wearing an LED headlamp on his forehead to illuminate the road ahead. While technically a ‘headlight,’ it was a traffic violation and the man was charged with speeding and operating an unsafe vehicle and had his car towed away.
