| 5.13 State Objectives
Within thirty (30) calendar days following award of the Contract, if awarded, the successful Respondent shall submit plans addressing each of the State’s five (5) objectives listed below, to the extent applicable to the items / services covered by this solicitation.
5.13.1 Diversity
The State of Florida is committed to supporting its diverse business industry and population through ensuring participation by minority- and women-owned business enterprises in the economic life of the state. The State of Florida Mentor Protégé Program connects minority- and women-owned businesses with private corporations for business development mentoring. We strongly encourage firms doing business with the State of Florida to consider this initiative. It is vital that small, minority, women-owned and veteran-owned business enterprises participate in the State’s procurement process as both prime Contractors and Subcontractors under prime Contracts. Small, minority, and women-owned businesses are strongly encouraged to submit replies to this solicitation.
The Contractor shall submit documentation addressing Diversity and describing the efforts being made to encourage the participation of small, minority, women-owned and veteran-owned businesses.
