10.1.1 Plan Allocation The Grants released by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) during the Financial Year 2007-2008 was Rs. 9941.14 lakhs for AICTE Schemes. The AICTE also received grants to the tune of Rs. 22800.00 lakhs for NITs. An amount of Rs. 1045.64 lakhs was the unspent balance of the previous year and the miscellaneous receipts during the Financial Year 2007-2008 amounted to Rs. 1025.02 lakhs.
An amount of Rs. Nil was received from the MHRD as Non-Plan Grants during the Financial Year 2007-2008 for AICTE Schemes. The AICTE also received grants to the tune of Rs. 26300.00 lakhs for NITs. There was Rs. 3098.83 lakhs as unspent balance of the previous Financial Year (2006-2007) and miscellaneous receipts amounted to Rs. 4643.11 lakhs during the Financial Year 2007-2008.
