Jiangsu Hengwei Industrial Group, established in June 1994, is located in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province—a city close to the Huanghai Sea, and covers an area of 1220 mu. Now it has become a large trans-regional and inter-trade group enterprise engaged in science and technology, industry, trade, textile, clothes, real estate development and special equipment. Hengwei Group is one of the top 100 clothing manufacturers in China, the R&D and pilot base of 99-stlye police uniform for Ministry of Public Security, 2000-style judicial uniform for the Supreme Court of the People’s Republic of China and 2005-style uniform for the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, and also the appointed manufacturing enterprise of uniform for 19 systems and sectors including PLA General Logistics Department, Armed Police Army, Ministry of Public Security, the Supreme Court of the People’s Republic of China, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Railway, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce and State Administration of Taxes, etc. The group is one of the uniform-manufacturing enterprises in China with large production scale, wide distribution channels and high product quality, and also one of the first batch of private enterprises with self-support import and export right.

Jiangsu Diheng Industrial Group Co., Ltd. is specialized in producing top grade worsted fabric, polyester–mixed cotton, chemical fiber and other fabrics with special functionality. It is the appointed fabric manufacturing enterprise of the Ministry of Public Security. The high-count, multi-synthetic fiber blended and functional fabric products designed and developed by the company meet current development trend of international textile industry and have a bright future.

Furthermore, the group is planning on requisition of land in Guangzhou Economic Development Zone to build a special equipment research and development center and production base of the research and development achievements for military and police by taking favorable conditions of joint R&D of special equipment for military and public security system together with scientific research organizations including Quartermaster Research Institute of the General Logistics Department, the First Research Institute of Ministry of Public Security and China Textile Academy, etc. and by taking advantage of talents and advanced information in Guangzhou Economic Development Zone. The company mainly develops and produces non-lethal arms (such as riot control grenade, arrest net, interceptor, etc.); personal protection equipment and products (such as body armor, police helmet, anti-riot shield, functional underwear for military and police in the new century and protective clothing, etc.); means of transportation for military and police (such as vehicles and boats for military and police purpose, etc.); explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) equipment (such as explosive ordnance disposal suit and EOD robots, etc.); equipment for counter-terrorist police (such as equipment bag for police, multi-functional belts and anti-puncture vest) and so on. The project meets the national requirements for construction of special fields such as strengthening army and police through science and technology, and has great market potential.
