*A sick person will receive rewards for the good deeds he used to do while he was healthy.
*One should remind the sick of the reward of Allah, and to be patient, and to be hopeful of the cure. He should be reminded not to wish for death even if the sickness intensifies.
*One can visit a non-Muslim to invite them to Islam, and to exonerate himself before Allah. This is taken from the Hadeeth of Anas b. Malik () that a Jewish boy who used to serve the Prophet () fell sick. The Prophet () visited him and asked him to accept Islam and he did. (Bukhari) *One may visit the sick during any time, as long as it is not discomforting to the sick person. Al-Mawardi, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
