CLASS DESCRIPTIONS LARGE STUDIO Fall 2017

bodyWERK is a non-stop total body workout! Sculpt lean, strong muscle using a wide variety of resistance equipment and body weight exercises intertwined with intense cardio bursts that include floor drills, plyometric moves, and power moves on the Step bench.  This “never the same workout” class is designed to work all muscle groups using compound exercises that work multiple muscles at once, isolation work to hit those “problem” spots, and cardio segments that allow for modifications to ease your way up or hit it hard from the start! A rocking body can be yours in this not to miss class….be there!!

Abs and ASSets: This 45 minute class is going LARGE, Large studio that is, so room for all!! WE attack your abs and glutes from every angle. Isolation exercises to sculpt and define amazing abs, tighten and create a shapely bum and compound moves that work your entire core: abs, low-back, and gluteal muscles (yes, those ARE a part of your core..!). Reinvent your body with this booty shaping, belly busting class!  All fitness levels are welcome.

Butts & Guts: This is a 45 minute moderately intense class that combines core work w/ booty exercises to strengthen and tone your abs and glutes(your butt)....not to mention your legs too!


Modifications always given.


Mid-Day PUMP: This 45 minute beginner level class uses your own body weight and/or light weight equipment to define and strengthen both the upper and lower body muscle groups including the abs! Enjoy motivating music as you redeem you midday by exercising!

STEP Aerobics (Fina): A form of aerobic exercise using an elevated platform that can be tailored to an individual’s need with the use of risers. Fun choreography, great music and exercise progression “change outs” makes this a group fitness format that includes from novice exerciser to conditioned athletes.

STRONG by Zumba: “IT’S NOT A DANCE CLASS! Every move has a beat. The music is STRONG by Zumba, was reverse-engineered so that every squat, every lunge, every move is perfectly synced to the music, making your workout more efficient than ever.” Come ready to work in a fun upbeat atmosphere. Bring a towel!

Mixed Martial Arts: This class will be a combination of Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu formats. All fitness levels welcomed, no previous experience required. If you have a desire to work hard, sweat and learn something new and fun, this class is for you! Not only will you get a great workout, you’ll also learn some valuable self-defense skills. We will kick, punch, throw and work arm locks. Bring a towel to dry your sweat and a water bottle to quench your thirst!

Zumba: is a fusion of Latin and international music that creates a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system. If you like to work out to upbeat music in a fun social interactive setting…. you will LOVE this class!

Insanity : Shaun T’s Max interval training course comes to group fitness! Get ready to push past your limits with insanity’s mixture of drills, plyometrics, strength, and core exercises. You’ll need to bring a towel, water, and a lot of determination. Modifications offered for all fitness levels. Get ready to sweat! *(If you are ill, recovering from an injury, or have any medical condition (heart, back, knee, etc.), we recommend you do NOT attend Insanity until you have consulted your doctor.)

HIP HOP Reggae: Come move your body on the dance floor while vibing to hip-hop reggae music!

Yoga: Class is designed to improve balance, flexibility, and strength. Every pose demonstrated and explained. All skill levels are welcome! This class is a great way to relax at the end of a hectic day.

Smooth Yoga : Incorporates flowing sequences of breath-directed yoga stretching designed to strengthen, energize & balance the body-mind. Upside down breathing, standing, sitting, floor & balancing yoga poses, spontaneous movement, meditation & deep relaxation will be included. Vibrant instrumental music will be used. This class will give you simple & quick ways to retire @ night, arise in the morning & function efficiently all day in a relaxed & inspired manner.

**NOTE: All classes must maintain “AT LEAST 5 PARTICIPANTS”

on a regular basis.

Sessions may be canceled due to low attendance.

Only athletic attire and footwear permitted for “ALL” classes… Except those that

REQUIRE participants to be barefoot.
