THIS AND THAT.

Please do not remove other club newsletters from the reading table unless they are at least 3 (three) months old. They are there for everyone to read or scan.

Three months also applies to adverts on our Notice Board, in that after 3 months they are removed. However, if the goods/articles/bikes are still not sold you are welcome to re-advertise them. Please ensure that your advert is a reasonable size so that there is room for others.

The clubhouse is not a storeroom so please, Guys, hang your jackets and helmets on the hooks in our Main container – not in the Clubhouse. In so doing we suggest you don’t leave valuables in the pockets – although there has never been an incident of theft in that container there is always the possibility of a first time.

EYE OF THE FISH EAGLE.

Raymond Taylor’s sharp eyed eagle spotted the following bikes on Saturday 3rd January:

11 bikes on show, 6 in the Troo Bloo Park, 18 in the Paddyfield and 2 sidecars.

On Saturday 7th February he spotted 2 on show, 3 in the Troo Bloo Park, and 5 in the Paddyfield. Yep, you guessed it, it was raining and all us wussies came by car.

Then on Saturday 6th March he spotted 5 on show, 8 in the Troo Bloo Park, 12 in the Paddyfield and one sidecar.

Thanks Raymond – keep that Eagle eye flashing!

Jim.

SOUND OFF.

Way out there in Texas the saloon doors of the local pub swing open and a cowboy stumbles out, then takes a running jump and lands heavily in the gutter. A couple of bystanders are quite amazed but go over to help him up.

“What was that all about?” they ask

“Cain’t ya see” growls the well-oiled cowboy “some bastard has stolen muh horse!”

Remember now, cowboys don’t cry hey! And don’t forget to give your bike a hug – at least once a day.

See you soon.

Jim.
