COLLECTED SCIENTOMETRICS

These collected scientometrics are divided in to four parts. Part one shows the interest from the top twenty nine universities in the world, part two gives the daily scientometrics for www.aias.us back to April 30th 2004, part three contains combined scientometrics from May 2002 to date, and part four is a survey carried out from Dec. 1 - 15 2014 that shows that essentially all the UFT papers are being read. The scientometrics are probably the most detailed ever carried out for a new paradigm shift in science, the “Post Einstein Paradigm Shift” of Alwyn van der Merwe. It shows intense and sustained interest from all the best universities, institutes and similar in the world, signalling the end of the Einsteinian Era in natural philosophy. This books records about 2% of the vast total interest in ECE theory and the three AIAS sites www.aias.us, www.atomicprecision.com and www.upitec.org. We begin with a short history of the ECE unified field theory

The Einstein Cartan Evans (ECE) unified field theory was initiated in March 2003 following upon my discovery at Cornell University in November 1991 of the well known B(3) field of electromagnetic radiation. It was pointed out by Vigier in early 1993 that the B(3) field is definitive evidence of identically non zero photon mass, the first such evidence since the idea of photon mass was put forward by Poincare in 1905. At about the same time Einstein proposed a theory in which photon mass is identically zero. In the early twenties de Broglie developed his famous wave particle dualism on the idea of finite photon mass, so the photon is a relativistic particle like any other. This led de Broglie to think that all particles can be particle like and wave like, leading to the famous equation of wave particle dualism. The wave and particle nature of the electron was verified by Compton in what has become known as Compton scattering. Both Compton and de Broglie were awarded Nobel Prizes for their work and Einstein famously described de Broglie’s work as lifting a corner of the veil. Thereafter de Broglie continued to develop the theory of photon mass in many ways at the Institut Henri Poincare in Paris.

The existence of photon mass was brought to my attention by Vigier in a letter which arrived in January 1993 and which is in the archives of www.aias.us. I had sent Vigier a manuscript on the development of B(3) field to “Physics Letters A” of which he was an editor. He wrote back inviting more papers and suggesting a review paper in van der Merwe’s eminent journal, “Foundations of Physics”. The review was published, but Vigier’s assistant Malenfant blocked the former’s invitations for several more papers to “Physics Letters A”. It is unknown how an assistant could block the invitation of such a famous scientist and statesman in such an arbitrary way, effectively dismissing Vigier’s life work on the photon with mass while still remaining his assistant. I had run into a kind of war between the protagonists of photon mass and the protagonists of zero photon mass, the so called “standard model”, now entirely obsolete as the book of scientometrics shows conclusively. One only has to flip through the following pages to become quickly aware of the overwhelming impact of ECE theory among the best in the world.

At the 1927 Solvay Conference de Broglie had run into trouble with Heisenberg and in Vigier’s words was “shouted down” by Heisenberg. It is not clear why de Broglie allowed himself to be shouted down in an irrational way, but evidently Heisenberg’s tirade had no effect on him. Vigier mentioned this to me in private at the first Vigier Symposium of 1995 which I had helped to organize. The Solvay Conference split physics permanently because of differing interpretations of quantum mechanics. Einstein, Schroedinger, de Broglie and many others maintained that quantum mechanics is causal, meaning that all observable phenomena have a cause, and that quantum mechanics is an extension of classical mechanics, both being examples of Baconian philosophy. This point of view has been proven overwhelmingly by ECE theory, which successfully bases physics on eminently knowable geometry. The latter is the most precise branch of mathematics and was equated by the ancient Greeks to beauty. The following scientometrics show that this point of view has been overwhelmingly accepted in a quiet revolution described by van der Merwe as “The Post Einsteinian Paradigm Shift”.

The problem with Heisenberg and Bohr is that they developed a hugely overelaborate interpretation of a basically simple thing, a commutator. That is always a sign of lack of understanding. The thing about science is that it must be simple and understandable and must always be tested against data. If a theory cannot be tested against data it is not a scientific theory, it is a mere fantasy or idol of the Baconian cave. This was the long refuted “Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle” which should be described more accurately as the principle of indeterminacy or the principle of the absolutely unknowable. It has been refuted theoretically in UFT175 on www.aias.us, now a heavily studied paper. It has been refuted experimentally in many ways, notably by the Croca group in the University of Lisbon. It is trouble from the start, and blatantly anti Baconian in the sense that things are asserted by the human mind to be absolutely unknowable. This means that they cannot be measured experimentally and leads to all kinds of tortuous nonsense. ECE sought to dismiss the Heisenberg indeterminacy from the outset and constructed an interpretation based on geometry. The huge discontent with all that is shown in the following pages. Every UFT paper is linked to the others, so acceptance of one paper means acceptance of all papers.

Einstein immediately rejected Heisenberg’s indeterminacy and continued to reject it scathingly all his life. After the second war Vigier was invited to work with Joliot-Curie but soon resigned in protest at the French atomic bomb. He was also invited by Einstein to become his assistant but was refused a visa despite being a member of the French Legion of Honour (Legion d’Honneur), France’s highest honour. Such a crass act of bigotry could well have resulted in sharp words between the United States and France, but they had faced difficult times together and now had to face the stalinist threat. Joseph McCarthy had begun to throw his weight around against foreign nationals, even scientists like Vigier who were of the highest calibre, and even scientists like Einstein who had warned Roosevelt of what the atomic bomb could do in the wrong hands, in fact Heisenberg’s own hands because he tried to develop an atomic bomb for the Nazi regime as is well known. He need not have done that. In contrast Schroedinger, an Austrian, left for Ireland at the invitation of de Valera. A brutal, anti human, regime like this could have crept its ugly way into power in any European country, for example Moseley in Britain then, Farage in Britain now, or the Vichy Gestapo who captured Vigier in France when he was a member of the General Staff of the French Resistance. For this exceedingly dangerous work, Vigier was also the recipient of the de Gaulle Resistance Medal (Medaille de Resistance). The problem for McCarthy is that Vigier was an increasingly prominent member of the French Communist Party, a democratic party similar to the Bevanite arm of the Labour Party. That was enough to prevent Vigier working with Einstein, a great loss to science because Vigier could have persuaded Einstein to begin work on photon mass. Dirac was also essentially a Communist but by the time Dirac moved to the United States McCarthy had lost influence and the U. S. Government had come to its senses. People of my generation have maintained the peace in Europe for seventy years. We have had to because the ever present alternative is nuclear annihilation. Those foolish enough to break this peace will probably bring an end to Humankind, and there are hideous bigots who are constantly trying to achieve this dubious aim. That is the insane, always present, side of human nature and it only takes good men to remain silent in the words of Edmund Burke. Vigier himself became an enlightened humanitarian and a prominent French Statesman, and had no problem working with people of any nationality. If he had been able to persuade Klaus Barbie of photon mass, he would probably have been delighted to have guided him away from the irons. He was due for an appointment with the less than delightful Barbie in Lyon, but his train was bombed and he escaped. Galileo, of course, was also shown the irons, but now he has been decreed to have been right after all. This is exactly what has happened in the following pages. It is more or less true that the people does not cause the problem, it is the ugly regime that they have allowed to creep in to power. Once this happens the people suffers most of all. Things are no different in physics. It is not the logic that causes the problem, it is the dogma that has been allowed to creep into power. With the nuclear capability hovering over all of us, they must not be allowed to creep any more.

In the enlightened and relieved atmosphere of post war Paris, Prince Louis de Broglie has no difficulty in inviting the Communist Vigier to work with him in the Institut Henri Poincare. They were both citizens of a French Republic. Vigier mentioned to me that de Broglie was descended from the dei Medici of another enlightened era, renaissance Florence. I remember in discussions with Vigier that the latter had a reverential attitude towards de Broglie, but at once distant from him. After all, Vigier represented the Republic, de Broglie’s family was that of the Kings of France. They worked as colleagues for about forty years until de Broglie died in his early nineties, still researching actively. As is well known, Vigier persuaded de Broglie to come out openly against the then all powerful and ruthless Copenhagen interpretation. They could and can be as ruthless as any party organization gone to the bad, or totalitarian regime. By doing this de Broglie faced ostracization and mockery, bigotry and hatred, but he was sublimely immune from all of that human weakness. Vigier was himself ruthlessly suppressed so despite being a great scientist he was awarded only one honorary degree. I was fortunate enough to be present at the degree ceremony in York University, Toronto , Canada, in 1995. As in any war, honorary degrees are awarded only to the friends of those who have transient influence.

This is the background of a physics war, a Peloponnesian war, that I ran in to unknowingly in January 1993. Like Thucydides I could not fiddle but could accidentally build Athens, a little village, into a great city state. This is what the following pages show. Before that letter from Vigier I had not even heard of photon mass. My well known discovery of B(3) was based on experimental data in nonlinear optics. It was based on the ability of circularly polarized radiation of any frequency to produce magnetization in any material matter. I simply and innocently reinterpreted the received opinion in terms of a longitudinally directed and fundamental field B(3). I simply used vector analysis to infer that the conjugate product of nonlinear optics must produce a longitudinal field in free space. This inference was accepted and published in three papers of 1992 and 1993 in “Physica B”. The originals are in the Omnia Opera of www.aias.us. Unknown to me, B(3) was anathema to the then standard model of physics because its dogma resulted in blatant nonsense, the assertion that free space electromagnetic fields are transverse. If one takes the vector cross product of a transverse magnetic field plane wave and denotes it as B(1), and then denote its conjugate product by B(2), the result in vector algebra is iB(0)B(3)* where B(0) is the magnitude of B(3) and the asterisk denotes complex conjugate. This was so trivially obvious to me in November 1991 that I had no hesitation in submitting the idea to Physica B, which published it.

I was appointed a full professor of physics with tenure for my discovery of B(3) and began work at University of North Carolina, Charlotte in August 1992 from Cornell University’s Theory Center. The Copenhagen establishment began to wake up to the fact that its dogma had just disintegrated. There was a full professor on the loose who had innocently reduced its logic to rubble. In fact this is easy to do because the dogma is so ludicrous, but under the Copenhagen regime, no one dared to do it. In my innocence, I did not even know that the regime existed. The following pages show that this ancient mariner dogma has been entirely rejected by a new generation of some of the brightest scientists and engineers in the world. The dogma is still taught, but it falls on deaf ears. The best scientists in the world silently study ECE theory, carefully keeping themselves hidden so as not to get their tenure or funding chopped, so as not to fail exams. This is what happens under any dictatorship, the propaganda is studiously ignored to coin an awful pun. In the time of Copernicus, sailors knew that the world was not flat, but they kept carefully silent.

We do not have to go in to what happened at UNCC, it was a vile farce described in the UNCC Saga on www.aias.us, but it does illustrate the lengths to which people will go to protect themselves. Under any regime, the people enthusiastically talk nonsense and survive. Not any more, as the following pages show. So the following pages are therefore of great historical importance. They narrate the Peloponnesian war in the lucid manner of Thycidides, without bias, without bigotry. Computer chips do not lie. Back in 1993 Vigier showed his character when he snubbed Barron, who had made an underhand attempt to turn Vigier against me. So the Oxford / Cambridge standard establishment failed to destroy the idea of B(3) and became infuriated. A massive attack was launched on B(3) and the doors of all journals were slammed shut without argument. There was one exception, van der Merwe’s journals and book series. These continued to resist like the Spartans at Thermopylae so that every trivial argument against B(3) was refuted.

I was finally chopped by UNCC on laughable contrivances but continued to develop B(3) theory in almost complete isolation here in Craig Cefn Parc. Both Vigier and van der Merwe were very helpful and fortunately the e mail system was available. There was international outrage against UNCC, but those responsible were never brought to justice. The following pages, however, record overwhelming poetic justice. Having failed to crush the idea of B(3) the establishment resorted to blank censorship, pressure was brought on van der Merwe to try to prevent the appearance of inconvenient books such as “The Enigmatic Photon”. Some of the most unpleasant elements resorted to outright abuse in the form of hate mail and so on. This was directed at my first wife, an entirely innocent party. One such abuser was caught and reprimanded at York University Canada. In this atmosphere of the mid and late nineties the subject of O(3) electrodynamics was developed in many papers and two review articles in “Advances in Chemical Physics”.

After a short stay in Ithaca, New York from 1998 to 2001, I returned to this house, after being naturalized a U. S. Citizen at Cornell University in 2000. The theory of O(3) electrodynamics continued to be developed, and in May 2002 key help was given in the form of a website, organized by Bob Gray of Biophan Inc. in New York State. The following pages record the earliest impact of that first website, in May 2002, when there were 859 files downloaded or “hits” from 155 distinct visits or study sessions, 0.02 gigabytes downloaded. I thought that this was delightful, I had never experienced the pleasure of seeing interest in my work recorded objectively and in real time by computer feedback programs. In the latest month of recorded scientometrics, March 2015, there were 133,452 files downloaded from 22,902 distinct visits or study sessions, and a thirteen year record high of 37.78 gigabytes downloaded. In the following pages this interest is very carefully filtered and selected, a quality assurance exercise. It is clear that the interest comes from the best in the world, and has been sustained for thirteen years. In these thirteen years there have been at least fifty million readings off the AIAS websites: www.aias.us, www.upitec.org and www.atomicprecision.com. I own the first of these and the second two are owned by Sean MacLachlan who works for Hewlett Packard in Boise, Idaho, U. S. A.

The first website of May 2002 records the material that I was able to send over by hand using primitive equipment. In scientific terms it records the gradual transition from O(3) electrodynamics to a theory which included gravitation. At that time the Omnia Opera had not yet been constructed and I was living in the most difficult of circumstances after the chaos caused quite deliberately by UNCC. This was a Peloponnesian war after all. My only lifeline to the outside world was the enlightenment of van der Merwe as editor of “Foundations of Physics Letters” and the new website, www.aias.us. It was prepared and constructed in an entirely voluntary way by Bob Gray. The establishment tactics were to close off every avenue of publication. This was done by harassing editors with a massive barrage of e mail, and frightening them in to breach of contract. World Scientific breached contract twice and Kluwer once. It is quite easy for a few ruthless individuals to frighten off publishers, because the editors of large journals rarely read the papers they are publishing. After a while they turned their unwelcome attention on van der Merwe, and destroyed or took over his journals: “Foundations of Physics” and “Foundations of Physics Letters”. That is probably an all time low in physics. The complete intellectual dishonesty of that era is exposed in the following pages in a cool, rational and completely objective manner. It is now beyond all doubt that the best scientists and engineers in the world have rejected not only the standard model but the entire, rotten system of physics propaganda and censorship. One cannot stop the march of ideas, and why try to censor imagination? The answer is that such censorship is needed in order to obtain money from the taxpayer. That is not a scientific argument, or one that should be tolerated by society in an era of increasing problems for humankind.

This survey compiled from the Book of Scientometrics shows that the ECE theory has been read regularly in the top ranking universities in the world since 30th April 2004 when the Book of Scientometrics was started. The top ranking universities are defined using the top twenty in Webometrics and the top twenty in the Times Higher Education World Reputation rankings. In order of ranking they are as follows. The asterisk denotes repeat, often numerous, downloads. “Wisconsin” denotes Wisconsin Madison, and “Minnesota” denotes Minnesota Twin Cities. There are twenty nine universities in the two lists in all. The numbers for each month give the total number of thes top 29 universities from which visits were received in a given month.
