Introduction
“Al-Insan or Ad-Dar in either case takes its name from verse 1. It is an early Meccan Surah concerned with the doctrine of Predestination (No. 296) of the elect in the plan of Salvation and ties in with the other Early Meccan Surahs bringing attention of the calling to the ears of the Meccan idolaters and to those who were to be called out and baptised from among them.
*****
76.1. Hath there come upon man (ever) any period of time in which he was a thing unremembered?
Psalm 8:4 what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
Psalm 144:3 O LORD, what is man that you regard him, or the son of man that you think of him?
Isaiah 2:22 Stop regarding man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he?
Proverbs 16:4 The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.
Man, a mere breath, was created as a physical being for a short period of time. This creation is temporary as a stage for training and testing for a spiritual creation. Those called and chosen to live their lives in compliance with the commandments and testimonies of God will be raised to eternal life in the First Resurrection. The rest of humanity will be raised to a spiritual creation after repentance following on from their re-education and judgement during the Second Resurrection.
This understanding of Predestination was basic to the faith from the beginning and the Koran was concerned with explaining the Resurrections of the Dead and how each was to be determined and how the elect were concerned with reaching the First Resurrection and the First Garden of paradise in order to Judge the Demons in the Second Resurrection by their performance in the Millennial system (cf. 1 Cor. 6:3 and its application to the Judgment of the Demons (No. 080)).
76.2. Lo! We create man from a drop of thickened fluid to test him; so We make him hearing, knowing.
76.3. Lo! We have shown him the way, whether he be grateful or disbelieving.
Psalm 139:13 For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb.
Exodus 4:11 Then the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?
Matthew 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.
Deuteronomy 8:2 And you shall remember the whole way that the LORD your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.
James 1:3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
Refer to: John 14:6 in Commentary on the Koran: Surah 33 (No. Q033) at ayat 4 and Acts 26:18 in Commentary on the Koran: Surah 35 (No. Q035) at ayat 22.
76.4. Lo! We have prepared for disbelievers manacles and carcans and a raging fire.
Proverbs 2:22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous will be rooted out of it.
2Thessalonians 1:8 in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
Refer to Revelation 21:8 in Commentary on the Koran: Surah 23 (No. Q023) at ayat 98.
76.5. Lo! the righteous shall drink of a cup whereof the mixture is of Kafur,
76.6. A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allah drink, making it gush forth abundantly,
The drink is a mixture of heavenly wine and the Kafur plant which is referred to as a form of Camphor but of plant origins from Java via India. The origins seem to come from its identification and presentation to the Caliph Omar and this reference in the Koran is probably word of mouth before the powder was introduced. The Purana Scriptures referred to in Q001 show the Prophet was known in India. There is also a tradition that it was a wine from the spring of the First Resurrection. The association here was of a covering of grapes and dates as a must. There is no doubt that it refers to a millennial wine of the elect and a blessing from God. It cannot have been the inferior Chinese camphor introduced in the Thirteenth century. The other wine in verse 17 is mixed with Zanjbil or Zanjabil. There is no doubt that the Koran refers positively to specific wines provided for the Resurrections and the millennial system as a blessing from God. There are other references to the provision of wine also

1John 4:17-18 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. (NASB)
76.8. And feed with food the needy wretch, the orphan and the prisoner, for love of Him,
76.9. (Saying): We feed you, for the sake of Allah only. We wish for no reward nor thanks from you;
Matthew 25:37-40 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
Proverbs 3:27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.

76.10. Lo! we fear from our Lord a day of frowning and of fate.
76.11. Therefor Allah hath warded off from them the evil of that day, and hath made them find brightness and joy;

76.13. Reclining therein upon couches, they will find there neither (heat of) a sun nor bitter cold.
