Thanks for that wonderful site! I'm Linda Garcia,went to Frankfurt High from 1971-1974, and even graduated after alot of days at the park and stolen rides on the subway to the record shop downtown!! Remember the chess set in the park?? My brother Albert and sister Kathy also went to school there. We lived in Hanau (Sportsfield) from 71-74 and now reside in the Phoenix area. Greetings to all my fellow FAHS former students.

Although I attended FAHS for only my sophmore year in 1978-1979, it was memorable.

I moved to Minnesota thereafter and finished highschool there. However, many of you

may remember my brothers ... both of them graduated from FAHS.
Bobby (Robert A. Guidubaldi Jr.) graduated in 1977. He was well known at FAHS, even

though he spent the majority of his time in the park.

Nick (Dominic P. Guidubaldi) graduated in 1979. He is the quiet type, and also spent

considerable time in the park instead of the classroom.

Me .. (Robin M. Guidubaldi) I was the kid sister who went to class instead of the park.
Do any of you remember the big bash at the lake just after school let out the summer of

1979? I believe I have pictures of the three day event.

In fact I have many pictures of graduation ceremonies for both '77 and '79. Although I

remember many faces, the names elude me.

Do any of you remember the Guidubaldi Steakhouse? The Darmstadt crowd may be more

familiar, but many Frankfurters ventured down to our area.

Hi !

I was the drummer in the school rock band, "Eagleshit," with Karl Wiesel (replaced by Brian Hipps in '74), Eric Wiesel, and Peter McGrath. (Anybody remember us?) I'm class of '75. It's amazing that I survived all the temptations that Germany had to offer a brat in the 70's. Great memories. I hope to make it back in 2000 to see the Park and the city.

From the CLASS OF '74. I was one of the first 5 students to streak as FAHS. We used the "hole" as our escape route. As we entered the park a group of nationals could not believe what they saw--5 naked guys running to beat hell. Any other class of '74 people out there?

I love the Park, as we all do, and it is still there as you guys know it. Your school, though, has now been converted to a "Berufsschule", which is a special college type school for young trainees, they build some new buildings to it and renovated the whole thing thoroughly, the new name is the:

"Philipp Holzmann Berufsschule",

Miquelallee 4, phone: 069 - 212-34422.

I will check if they have a homepage and let you know.

The former Abrams Building is now in state of renovation until 2001 and will house some departments of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe Universität Frankfurt, which will make the whole former Abrams Complex a University Campus, open for the public. I find this a very good solution, the whole northern part of the former Abrams Complex, where your school is located and up to the Miquelallee is reserved for University use. So the Grüneburgpark will become a part of the Campus too... and beautiful ladies will be sunbathing in front of the new cafeteria of the University, which is the former Terrace Club!
Drop by after 2002 in Frankfurt and you will see.
The former PX Area right across the street from the FHS has been totally removed and there is a huge construction site for the new Police HQ. The Bundesbank Park across the street from the Grüneburgpark remains unchanged, inside the park there have been a few changes, I will send color pictures, if I get a chance to scan them...
Remember the old greenery building, a sort of neo-gothic church for the Greek Community near your fence? The Greek Community has torn it down and built a new shiny Post-Modern Neo-Neo-Orthodox church there with golden cupola and all the works.
Does anyone of you have memories/ stories of the Farbenhaus / Abrams Building to share? Your parents? Please do so and mail me..

My name is Roland Hawkins,graduated from FHS in 1971, lived in Hanau in Sportfield Housing Area.

Loved going to the park, more often than I probably should have, but I still graduated. I stayed in Frankfurt

after graduation and after my dad rotated, until 1980. It was a wonderful time, times I will never forget. I found

Komrade, I want to publicly acknowledge what you have done, and thank you for being the instrument through which I have rediscovered my most heartfelt friendships. Ones that when seemingly were lost, left me adrift in a world where new friends and neighbors could not possibly understand the collective consciousness of the Frankfurt experience.
