Greetings..I was called "Margie or"Marge" Burgess in 74&75

I lived in Hanau and rode the heads bus...Hung out in the park so much I lacked a couple credits to graduate in 74' so I graduated in Jan75 with a few, "Randy" was one of the guys.....too many bowls and boots. I don't remember alot of peoples last names...remember George whose family member was in Lynard Skynard...Debbie Montgomery was one of my friends and Karen "Cricket"Holtzman.I've made contact with 2 people since this site's been up.I contacted Manuel, from Hanau. The Park was a Dorm rats escape to reality. We spent many a night prowling around after sliding down the light pole outside Harlan Durgans end room. First; a pizza at Bologna's, a futile search for the girls and then a romp in the park. Back in a first floor open window before bed check and up for breakfast and first period the next day.

Hallo! Everyone remembers Grüneburg Park, but what about the converted Rothchild horsestable that housed Young Life? It served as a base refuge from 77-78 for me. I have super 8mm footage to prove it! (Un)fortunately, most of the footage centers around Young Life, not Grüneburg, B-Bank, or Sachsenhausen.

I sure hope life has treated everyone good the last 19 years. I've been back in the land of round door knobs and speed limits for about a year now. I spent the last 18 years in Germany wondering where the road of life may have taken you. No one mentioned, or has middle age robbed your memory of all the great times at the Langen sand pits, the Saturday nights in Second Life, or all the great parties before the doors opened at Offenbach Stadthalle/Frankfurt Messe. Did anyone ever find the 50 liter keg that sunk at the Senior Bash at the pits? Now that you are using some of the cells that were on hold due to excessive amounts of Jägermeister, Apfelkorn, etc, the year of 80 will be a little more clearer in your memories. I still have contact with Grizz (Jim Roach). Where are all the Rhein Mainers hiding? Hope to see some of you at Hartwell. I'm not on line right now so e-m me at my friends address [e-mail] .

Good question, Mark Feathers; what ever happened to the life size chess men?? I have my own hypothesis -- After multiple 1st time travelers bought their tickets from the park travel agents, many were known to have a bad trip after seeing the chess men get up and move. Ya' know, I think just maybe Grace Slick might have bought some of her tickets from the park travel agents. The park ..... what a fine memory, but I admit nothing. Hi! I graduated from FAHS in 79. Can't believe its been 20 years! Those were some of the best times. We didn't know it then of course, but, now we do. Gruneburg - oh yeah. Anyone remeber when Jones died? That was around the time that we were only allowe 10 absences per quarter/semester. Was anyone as happy as I was then to hear the news? Call me old, call me a wimp, can't get myself as excited now as I was then. Maybe after a couple bowls of blond/red or black, couple mini-kegs and yeah - I'd probably be pissing near his grave. Where are all of the rockers, freaks, jocks, from class of 82. I don't see many around, did we all fall apart or is everyone not quite ready to look back to the past, knowing that those were probably some of the best times of our lives.

If someone had asked me then, "What if, this is as good as it gets" I don't think I would have cared... Knowing what there was ahead of me though, I would have been a fool. Let's remember the past class of 82. Sound off. Anyone remember the church steps very close to school???

Hello class of 76 all this brings so many memories back to focus. I always wondered how anyone was going to have a class reunion, some way of staying in touch. Well Matt you did it and I thank you for that. The picture of Al's is great. I remember when Alex Ernsberger went right out the front door face first into the gravel. All mandi-out. The park was where I took my first hit with John Ronto and Mike Rosen fellow 76er's. Edwards housing area was a great place to live, close to Al's and then off to the Evergreen to do a little dancing if I got drunk enough. Every time I went up there someone always wanted to borrow my V.W. van keys so they could take thier girl and have a good time. I should have charged rent.Does anyone know where Tammy Olds is at. How about Patti McDonald,Bruce Alexander, Sue Holliday,Bill Kopp just to name a few. Hope to see some of you in Hartwell.
