Business development tools: methods to design the value proposition for a business opportunity (business “canvasses”); methods for customer engagement and market testing; and communication and marketing approaches.

These tools are already well developed and in R4D use by FP partners. However, their power lies in the ability of FP2 to cluster and combine these around a common purpose of unlocking and incubating GLDC opportunities at scale. The application of these tools and perspectives also creates a unique science agenda of exploring, in an action research mode, what suite of tools, interventions, capabilities and enabling environment can cascade pervasive changes in GLDC agri-food systems that support broader scale objectives of poverty reduction, food and nutritional security and environmental sustainability.
