2. PhD in Clinical Neurosciences:

From Aug 2007-July 2012, thesis defended on 8th May 2013.

Thesis Title: A Magnetic resonance – Diffusion Tensor Imaging Study Of Alzheimer’s disease.

Guides: Dr. Mathew Varghese & Dr John P. John. Dept. Of Psychiatry, NIMHANS, Bangalore.

PhD work: PhD course work included initial one-year rotational residency in the departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry and Neuro-radiology. Followed by PhD research work; this included comprehensive evaluation of subjects with Alzheimer’s disease (clinical & neuropsychiatry symptoms, cognitive functions, Genetic risk factor and Neuro-imaging). Study explored the role of genetic risk factor, Apo Lipoprotein-E gene polymorphism on brain white matter structural connectivity using MRI-Diffusion Tensor Imaging.
