  • Two of my research students, Dr. S. Ramseh and Ms. M. Rajesh have been awarded DAAD Sandwich model fellowship to carry out part of their Ph. D. works in Germany.




  • A post graduate student, Ms. Dorothea Sonntang from the Georg August University, Gottingen, Germany did her final project work in my lab from July to December 2007.




  • Totally 95 16S rRNA, ITS and DNA microarray sequences were deposited in the GenBank database of NCBI. New crystal structure has been deposited in the Cambridge Crystallography Data Centre.




  • Thirteen of our papers / posters received Best oral paper / Poster awards in the National and International conferences held at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (2005), University of Madras (2005), Annamalai University (2005; 2006; 2007), Mysore University (2008), Acharya N.G.
