GUBADLY SANCTUARIES IN FOLKLORE
Summary
Pirs and ojags have a great reputation among people living in the Gubadli as in other regions of Azerbaijan. Holy places are known mainly as turbe, pir and ojag in Gubadli. Sanctuary Imamzadeh, Ojag Mirlar, Pir Atirizi, Ojag Mammadli are sacred places playing important and special role in the life of region people.
There are shrine springs in Gubadli territory, too. It is forbidden to visit and to give wather from this shrine springs for that people, who are not clean. The expression cleanliness is meaning physical cleanliness and behavior cleanliness here. Gubadli people were expelled from their homeland protect their own beliefs in legends, tales, vows and other folklore samples.
