THE EPOS “THE BOOK OF DEDE GORGUD”AND THE PHENOMENON
OF HAYDAR ALIYEV
Summary
The epos “The Book of Dede Gorgud” is the national wealth of Azerbaijan. But, this epos hadn’t been expected well, and it had been resulted for the prohibited of the epos in the period of soviet in 1950. The epos was named as a harmful, reactionary by the ex-president of the Azerbaijan Republic M.J.Bagirov who was obeying to orders of Moscow. Erudites such as H.Arasli, F.Gasimzada, A.Sultanli, M.Tahmasib, A.Damirchizada who propagated the epos they were pursued.
The second life of the eposes “The Book of Dede Gorgud” started by Haydar Aliyev’s coming to the government in1969. According to the motifs of the epos the film “Dada Gorgud” was made and it was investigated. The scientific and art works were rewritten about the epos.
1300th anniversary and the presentation of the epos “The Book of Dede Gorgud” is connected by All National Leader Haydar Aliyev.
