THE MOTİF OF MIRACULOUS BIRTH IN MODERN AZERBAIJAN PROSE
Summary
The mythological texts and folklore samples which included folk thought and desires are hold a unique place in the literature and culture of every people. That is, this rich resource has been addressed by all generations in all times. We encounter motives and plots which resulting from folklore and mythology frequently in the samples of modern Azerbaijan prose.
In the article the motif of hero’s miraculous birth in the novel “Mahmud and Maryam” by folk writer Elchin and in the novel “Kanli kuzgun meydani” (“Bloody square of raven”) by well-known writer Sadig Eljanli are investigated and compared with Azerbaijan and world folklore samples.
