HAYLACHI SANAM’S LIFE AND CREATIVS
Summary

Tanbur profession was famous in Azerbaijan before. But it is living only in the Zagatala-Balakan region now. Tanbur is called dambir in this region, songs performed on dambir are called hayla. There are women and men dambir performers in this region. One of such artists is Haylachi Sanam – having special place among Balakan dambir performers. Sanam was performing dambir successfully, was singing haylaes very well too. Therefore people was calling her Haylachi Sanam. According to investigations, everybody were knowing Haylachi Sanam very well as artist and loving her. Her has very sad fate. With influence of the unfortunate love, she took dambir, showed own pain to people with haylaes. Her love finished mournful and therefore she put off women clothes, put on men clothes and she was wearing such till the end her life. Sanam has put on men's clothes and she has shown difficult labour always. She was one of the woman participants of I Ashugs Congress. Sanam has taken part in competition of word and thought with Ashug Bilal – participant of the I Congress of Ashugs. Prominent scientist Aziza Cafarzada met her after congress and gathered 200 haylaes from her and printed. But unfortunately, Aziza Cafarzada presented Haylachi Sanam as Ashug Sanam. Supposition, it is connected with her participation in I Ashugs Congress. Sanams haylaes and legends connected with her fate are famous among people. Some parts of these haylaes mixed with bayati, but in some haylaes Sanams authorship is protected. She was performing "Çay daşı, çaylaq daşı", "Yerli hava", "Qərib hava" and other songs on dambir successfully. She was taking part with dambir in Balakan weddings and in national holidays. When we gathered folk-lore texts in this region people spoke us interesting memories about Sanam. They sang us her haylaes, too. All these facts show Haylachi Sanam lives in the memories of people of this region now.
