To copy a figure caption, highlight the caption, click the right mouse button and choose “Copy” from the pop-up menu. Move the cursor to where you want to paste the caption. Click the right mouse button and choose “Paste”. You can also use the “Copy” and “Paste” icons from the Standard toolbar in MS Word.
When you insert a picture or graph into MS Word, the picture/graph sometimes “floats over” the text (i.e., it is positioned in front of the document text). To fix this:
Click on the picture/graph and then click the right-hand mouse button.
Choose “Format Picture” from the pop-up menu. The “Format Picture” dialogue box will appear.
Click on the white area just above the words “In line with text” (if available). Click the “OK” button.
