3. Appointment criteria and procedures for appointing academic
staff; criteria for habilitation
Criteria for academic staff recruitment are defined in the original SER (Self-evaluation Report). The university strictly observes the internal regulation of the Brno University of Technology approved by the Ministry of Education (Rules for competition for academic staff positions at the Brno University of Technology) – a competition is called for each post, made public in press, etc. At some faculties (in accordance with their internal regulations) the term of office, analogically to the position of Dean, of directors of institutes is three years, then a new competition is called.
Habilitation criteria and criteria for appointment of professors are observed by all faculties and the procedures are governed by the respective Rector´s regulation (see Appendices 1 and 2). At the Faculty of Chemistry these requirements are even stricter in order to make them compatible with those set by other chemical faculties in the Czech Republic. Therefore this regulation is included in Appendix 3.
