JOUR381 Basic News Writing

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of news writing and reporting with special emphasis on subjects such as, deciding which stories to develop, phases of a developing story, types of quotations, when and how to attribute, quoting anonymous sources, making use of written, electronic and human sources, and guidelines of conducting and structuring an interview.
