Close your eyes. Imagine you’re at a really big
celebration. What can you see? What can you hear?
What can you feel?

Emma:
What’s
your favorite celebration, Pedro?
Pedro:
I think carnival time is the most exciting
celebration. I love being in the carnival parade. Do you
want to see my photographs from last year’s carnival?
Emma:
Yes, please. Do you
have any photographs of the
big carnival floats? I think they’re the best part of the
parade.
Pedro:
Yes – look. This float has big flowers on it.
And this float looks like a dragon.
Emma:
Wow – it’s fantastic!
Pedro:
I like listening to the musicians, too.
This musician
is playing in a brass band.
Emma:
And watching the dancers. My aunt is a dancer at
our carnival. She’s very good at dancing.
