Introduction to the unit

Open your books to pages 4 and 5, please.
Read the
title of the unit and check that students understand the
meaning of the phrase.

Ask students to look at the
photograph and guess the
topic of the unit (

seasons
). Then ask
What can
you see?
Elicit the name of the animal (
frog
) and other
features students can name (e.g.,
grass, mushroom,
leaves
). Then ask
What’s the weather like in this picture?
Is it hot or cold? Is it rainy or dry? What’s the weather
like today in our region/country? Is it often hot here?
Is it often rainy? Does it sometimes snow?

Tell students that they will learn to describe more kinds
