8.1 Participation in conferences, workshops and short courses - specify type of contribution

I attended at read papers (listed below) at several conferences in Africa (South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Lesotho, Kenya, Ghana), in Europe (Romania, Austria, Germany, France, Belgium, Sweden, England, Scotland, Spain, Finland), in North America (USA, Canada) and the Middle East (Israel, Turkey) where I presented papers at several of these occasions. Conferences attended dealt with a range of topics within New Testament Studies, Early Christianity, Ancient Greek, Semitics, strategies and methods of theological education, distance education, electronic media in education, Christian education, networking, strategic planning and on prison ministry.



I also arranged a number of academic conferences:

  • Conferences on Exegesis at the Theological Education by Extension College (1998-2000)

  • Conference at the University of Johannesburg (RAU) on “Keys to unlock the Future,” 2001)

  • Conference on “Early Christianity” at the University of Pretoria (2004)

  • A conference on “Angels and Spirits in the New Testament” (2009)

  • An 80th Anniversary conference in Honour of A B du Toit on “Reflecting on Romans” (2011)
