IN THE SUPREME COURT OF BRITISH COLUMBIA

I. INTRODUCTION

[1] By s. 293 of the Criminal Code of Canada, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-46, (initially in 1890 and periodically since then in successive revisions to the Code), Parliament has prohibited the practice of polygamy.
