Techno TN Forum 2006 Summary

More than 50 delegates attended the Forum representing the following Thematic Networks:

ESTIA-Net (Opening up Electrical Engineering, Computer technologies and Applied Sciences to Successful Women Careers)

EUCEET (European Civil Engineering Education and Training)

EULLearN (European University Lifelong Learning Network)

ISEKI FOOD 2 (Integrating Safety and Environment Knowledge In Food towards European Sustainable Development)

STEPS by EUPEN (Stakeholders Tune European Physics Studies by the European Physics Education Network)

TNP3 (The Thematic Network Project in the Area of Languages III)

There were also representatives from BEST (Board of European Students of Technology).
Olivier Bonnaud, Tony Ward, Michael Hoffmann and Pepe Benlloch represented EIE-Surveyor TN.
Firstly, Prof. Francesco Maffioli (TREE, Politecnico de Milano) welcomed participants and presented the goals of the Forum.
Three themes were chosen:

Theme 1: "Third level of Education (PhD)"

Theme 2: "Students expectations from the European reforms"
Theme 3: "Multilingualism"
Each theme was presented in plenary sessions by two invited speakers. Then , delegates were distributed into three parallel working groups. At the end of the second day, working group raportteurs summarised the group contributions.
